I have been a lecturer in Further Education for 28 years at both Aberdeen and Dundee and Angus Colleges. I trained at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art many years ago leaving with a Post graduate Degree in Drawing and Painting. My main area of teaching has been in Art and Design with specific subject specialism in drawing and painting. I am a practicing contemporary artist working in mixed media, acrylic painting and box construction. Subject matter for my artwork takes inspiration from the NE coast of Scotland, Scottish myths & legends and Highland Emigration themes. Recently I have been investigating themes around Victorian Poisoners and the effects of Arsenic on Victorian Society.
